If your website is hosted elsewhere, you’ll need to update your domain’s nameservers to point to your new hosting provider. Don’t worry — the process is simple, especially if your domain is registered with GoDaddy.
Follow this easy guide to change your nameservers in GoDaddy.
Step 1: Log in to Your GoDaddy Account
-
Visit www.godaddy.com.
-
Click Sign In at the top right corner.
-
Enter your GoDaddy login details.
Once logged in, you’ll see your account dashboard.
Step 2: Access Your Domain Settings
-
Click on your profile name at the top right corner.
-
Select My Products from the dropdown menu.
Step 3: Access Your Domain’s DNS Settings
-
On your My Products page, scroll down to the Domains section.
-
On the domain settings page, click Manage DNS to open the DNS Management panel.
This is where you can view and modify your domain’s DNS records and nameservers.
Step 4: Go to the Nameserver Section
-
On the DNS Management page, go to Nameservers section.
-
Click Change Nameservers to update your current nameserver settings.
Step 5: Enter Your Custom Nameservers
-
In the pop-up window, select the option “I will use my own nameservers.”
-
Enter the nameservers provided by our team in the available fields.
- Once you’ve entered the details, click Save to confirm the changes.
Step 6: Confirm and Wait for DNS Propagation
After saving your new nameservers, GoDaddy may ask you to confirm your changes — simply click Yes or Continue to proceed.
You may also be required to enter a verification code sent to your registered email or phone number. This is a security step to confirm that you authorize the update.
Once the nameserver changes are confirmed, it can take up 24 hours for the DNS records to fully propagate across the internet.
